“Are you working on a screenplay?  I know from experience what a lonely, confusing endeavor that can be,” says Terrel Seltzer. “So come have a good time talking it over with others who have chosen the same boat, rowing up that turbulent stream.  Bring a synopsis of your script, an outline, a treatment, a scene, a premise, an idea you want to try out.  Plus all your questions:  How can I make this scene/character/sub-plot work?  Am I totally deluded about this idea?  Does it have a chance in the marketplace?  We’ll have a fun, helpful discussion, over wine and cheese, based on our work and mutual respect as writers.

Please make a dozen copies of any writing samples you want to discuss.  You’ll get much better feedback from your classmates if they can read, not just hear, your work!

Terrel Seltzer is at work on a new feature script and a television series pilot.  So she is spending many hours at her desk and loves to get out at night to discuss writing and movies.  In addition to her Writing Salon class(es), she teaches at CCA and consults with private students.  She has four produced screenplays and currently has scripts in development with Reese Witherspoon and Uma Thurman attached to star.  She is a self-taught screenwriter and her personal motto for herself and her students is “If you write it, they will come.”
