The Writing Salon Scholarship
“This year we’re providing opportunities for writers who have been hit hard by COVID-19.”
About the Scholarship
Since its founding in 1999, The Writing Salon has been a valued community resource for writers to express their creativity and to develop their craft and critiquing skills.
In light of the COVID-19 health crisis, The Writing Salon is expanding our 2020 Scholarship Program to include multiple recipients. Submission is open to Bay Area writers over the age of 18 who have been financially impacted by the pandemic. We will offer five writers of promise a $150 credit toward a fall Writing Salon class of their choice.
Scholarship recipients will be chosen by The Writing Salon staff. The deadline to submit is August 01, 2020.
Congratulations to the Winners!
The 2019 Writing Salon Scholarship recipients are Emily Marciel and Mae Ramirez.
