Finding the classroom:

Enter at the door ON Bonar Street that says 2121 Bonar (there’s a sign next to the door). If the door is locked, which it probably will be, you will need to use the entry code that will be emailed to you the day prior to class. There is no other way to get the code at the door. After entering, go up the stairs, turn right, and then down the outdoor walkway to the last door, Studio D. That’s us. There is no elevator or ramp to the second floor; sorry. PLEASE NOTE: The Strawberry Creek Design Center has other entrances (i.e. 1250 Addison St., on the side of the building facing the large lawn), but we strongly recommend that you do NOT use those entrances, because you will find yourself in a maze of offices/hallways, and will have a much harder time making your way to our classroom in Studio D.

Strawberry Creek Design Center

Berkeley Public Transportation: The Strawberry Creek Design Center is close to the North Berkeley BART (cross streets, Sacramento and Virginia). Walk up Sacramento Street to Addison (one block past University Ave.), make a right on Addison, and go a few blocks to the corner of Addison and Bonar (it’s a pleasant 10-minute walk from BART). Make a left on Bonar and walk to the Bonar Street entrance (2121 Bonar). For bus line information, please call MUNI to get exact directions from your starting location.

From San Francisco: Cross the Bay Bridge and take I-80 to the University Ave. exit. Take University Ave. to Bonar Street (two blocks past San Pablo Avenue). Turn right on Bonar, go one block to the intersection of Bonar and Addison. You will see the Strawberry Creek Design Center looming large, on the corner. Our door is another half block up the Street on Bonar. You can park anywhere around here, on either Addison or Bonar.
