Berkeley Classroom Address: 2121 Bonar St., Studio D, 2nd floor (at the Strawberry Creek Design Center). This address is not an administrative office. It is for classes only and is closed at all other times.
Finding the classroom:
- Enter at the door on Bonar Street that says 2121 Bonar.
- Go up the short flight of outdoor stairs, turn right, and then go down the outdoor walkway to the last door, Studio D. That’s us.
- There is no elevator or ramp to the second floor; sorry.
- PLEASE NOTE: The Strawberry Creek Design Center multiple entrances, but we strongly recommend that you only use 2121 Bonar, or you will find yourself in a confusing maze of hallways.
You will need an entry code. The door is locked daily after and all day Sunday. You will need to punch in the entry code that will be emailed to you prior to class. If you don’t receive the email, please check your spam folder. If you don’t see it there, then give us a call at 510-982-6252.
Parking: There are no parking meters or restrictions after 6 p.m. or on weekends, and our classes are offered only in the evenings and on weekends.
Strawberry Creek Design Center
Berkeley Public Transportation: The Strawberry Creek Design Center is close to the North Berkeley BART (cross streets, Sacramento and Virginia). Walk up Sacramento Street to Addison (one block past University Ave.), make a right on Addison, and go a few blocks to the corner of Addison and Bonar (it’s a pleasant 10-minute walk from BART). Make a left on Bonar and walk to the Bonar Street entrance (2121 Bonar). For bus line information, please call MUNI to get exact directions from your starting location.
From San Francisco: Cross the Bay Bridge and take I-80 to the University Ave. exit. Take University Ave. to Bonar Street (two blocks past San Pablo Avenue). Turn right on Bonar, go one block to the intersection of Bonar and Addison. You will see the Strawberry Creek Design Center looming large, on the corner. Our door is another half block up the Street on Bonar. You can park anywhere around here, on either Addison or Bonar.
